Discover Nyc Meatballs And Pizzeria

If you’re craving a slice that actually tastes like New York, Nyc Meatballs And Pizzeria at 1075 Oakleaf Plantation Pkwy STE 104, Orange Park, FL 32065, United States, is where the conversation starts-and honestly, where it usually ends too. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza across Florida and up north, and this spot surprised me in the best way. The aroma hits you first: baked dough, simmering tomato sauce, and that unmistakable blend of melted mozzarella and herbs that signals something legit is coming out of the oven.

On my first visit, I ordered their classic cheese pie and a side of house-made meatballs. The crust had that thin, foldable structure you’d expect from a proper New York-style pizza-crispy on the outside, slightly chewy inside. According to the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, dough fermentation and high-heat baking are critical to texture and flavor, and while this isn’t Naples, you can taste that attention to process. The sauce struck a balance between acidity and sweetness, clearly made from quality tomatoes rather than overly processed blends. Their meatballs, meanwhile, were tender, seasoned with garlic and parsley, and simmered long enough to absorb the marinara’s depth.

What stands out here is consistency. I’ve returned with friends and family at different times-busy Friday nights and quiet weekday afternoons-and the quality has stayed steady. In the restaurant world, consistency is everything. The National Restaurant Association often highlights that repeat business is driven by reliability in taste and service, and you can see that principle in action here. Orders come out hot, the staff double-check customizations, and the team moves with the kind of rhythm you see in well-run kitchens.

The menu goes beyond standard slices. You’ll find specialty pizzas topped with pepperoni, sausage, fresh basil, and ricotta; hearty subs layered with cold cuts; and pasta dishes baked under bubbling cheese. I once tried their baked ziti, and it came out in a generously portioned tray, edges slightly crisp from the oven, center creamy and rich. It’s comfort food done right. Even the garlic knots-often an afterthought elsewhere-arrive brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with parmesan, soft inside and golden outside.

From a practical standpoint, the location in Oakleaf Plantation makes it easy for families and groups. Parking is straightforward, and the casual diner-style setup means you can come in after a soccer game or stop by for a laid-back dinner. Reviews from locals frequently mention friendly service and generous portions, and that matches my experience. Staff members greet regulars by name, which says a lot about community roots.

Nutritionally speaking, pizza sometimes gets unfair criticism. Research published in journals like Nutrients has shown that when made with balanced ingredients-tomatoes rich in lycopene, moderate cheese portions, and lean proteins-it can fit into a balanced diet. Of course, portion control matters, and indulgent toppings add calories, but having options like veggie toppings and customizable pies gives diners flexibility.

Transparency also builds trust. Prices are clearly listed on the menu, and wait times are communicated honestly during peak hours. I haven’t encountered hidden fees or surprise charges, which unfortunately isn’t always the case elsewhere. While I can’t speak to every single dish on the menu, the items I’ve tried repeatedly have delivered on flavor and quality.

There’s something reassuring about finding a neighborhood pizzeria that feels authentic without being pretentious. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic slice, a hearty plate of pasta, or a meatball sub that drips with marinara in the best way possible, this Orange Park location delivers a straightforward, satisfying experience. The combination of traditional recipes, careful preparation, and welcoming service makes it more than just another pizza joint-it’s a reliable go-to when cravings call.

  • An excellent find in an out of the way place. They have strange hours. We went here before to try them at lunch but they don't open until 3pm. Came back today Fri September 27th at 350pm. They had a few customers. We were greeted and seated immediately. Very friendly service. The place is very clean looking. Nice atmosphere except for the loud music. We had the garlic knots and hot wings for starters. The knots are just superb. Perfect. The wings are very good. We each ordered a calzone. Mine was pepperoni my husband had the meat lovers. Both were really good. I will return soon to try the pizza and some other things like the meatballs. I highly recommend it. Returned with my husband and son. We had a large pepperoni pizza, mild wings, meatballs, and knots. Service once again was excellent . They were fairly busy but the food came out quickly and everything was just perfect. I love the pizza and the meatballs too. They deep fry the knots so there's a crunchiness you don't get at most places. They are delicious. I have found my new pizza place. It's worth the trip.

  • Great feel from the moment we walked in. The lighting and atmosphere had a cool vibe. My son (8) loved the look. Servers were welcoming with smiles and very nice. We were quickly seated. There were TVs with sports games on both sides of the restaurant. My son and I were able to watch some games. We ordered the NYC Fried Garlic Knots, which were absolutely delicious, definitely some of the best that I've had. I ordered the 10" cauliflower crust with spinach, meatballs and ricotta. It was a bit loaded when it came out, which I was expecting a floppy pizza with a soggy middle. I was pleasantly surprised that it was crispy all the way through without burned edges. My son ordered the garlic Parmesan wings. After we ordered canolis. I was definitely not disappointed. Update: I took my boys back and we tried their 1/2 & 1/2 specialty pizza, the Chicken Bacon Ranch and Philly Cheesesteak, and I had another cauliflower crust pizza, the one with hot honey ricotta and pepperoni cups. The pizza is definitely one of the best in the Jacksonville area. If you haven't had pizza from here, you are definitely missing out.

  • We called in a pizza order and asked if they could add fresh basil since we try to eat with wellness in mind. My partner is living with AIDS so fresh ingredients mean so much to us. At first one of the pizzas was not quite right but Megan quickly handled the issue and had it remade perfectly. Nicole, the supervisor, also came over to make sure everything was corrected and that we were satisfied. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and delicious. What stood out most was the kindness, care, and customer service from both Megan and Nicole. Thank you for taking the extra time to make sure we were cared for, it truly makes a difference.

  • Visited: 24May25... super late on this review. I've been here a handful of times but I've never done a review. I think it switched ownership recently, so I've been when it's been under both. Good family atmosphere. Young staff. Service is always great! I recommend getting the garlic knots, fried. Which I didn't know there was another option which is baked, never had those before. Always come out hot with buttery and garlic goodness! Totally recommend!

  • Great place to go for good atmosphere. Large TVs at the bar and plenty of drink options. My bartender was honest, fast, and made amazing drinks. I ordered a calzone, add spinach and pepperoni. It was large and well seasoned. I think with time and hiring a few more amazing staff members - with a rock star GM this place can be the gem of Phase 2. I will be back!

  • Four of us visited the newly opened NYC meatballs and pizza restaurant at Oakleaf in Orange Park for the first time. Our server, Meg, provided excellent service—she was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was exceptional, and we look forward to returning in the near future.

  • Decent food and convenient location, but prices felt high for what we got. We live within walking distance and hoped for a better experience, but overall it was average.

  • First timer here. I had the Philly cheesesteak, and it was absolutely delicious! It was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked.(The worst thing you can get is a dry cheesesteak, but this place nailed it). The meat was well-seasoned, and the veggies tasted fresh and crisp. My husband ordered the chicken parm with all the extras, and he said it was bursting with flavor. His only note was that he wished the bread was a bit thicker to hold up better against the sauce, because, let’s be honest, a great sandwich starts with great bread. Other than that, he really enjoyed it, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to try the pizza and more from the menu.
